GIMP: INSTALLING BRUSHES
First, download the brushes. They should be in a .zip file, so you need to unzip them. (file > extract) Once you have them out, you should be looking at the folder that contains them (in the extracting wizard, be sure that "Open Folder with Contents" or something of the like is checked) Highlight all of the images, not the ReadMe or anything other than the brush files (they have the GIMP logo icon). Ctrl + C (copy them). Then, follow the path below, starting in My Computer.

Click on the highlighted file in the image above, and paste your brushes. Viola! They're installed! (note: they will not appear in Gimp until you open it next time)
